Mouthwatering Pepper Steak

Mouth Watering Pepper Steak

Description

Quick and Simple Pepper Steak

Ingredients

2 Darling Downs Wagyu Steak (recommended) about 200g each, but any cut will do.

15 g Kampot Bei Pepper (recommended), Kampot Black Pepper or Kampot Red Pepper

Sea Salt to taste

Olive oil

Instructions

Remove the steaks from the refrigerator 1 hour before cooking and season with sea salt.

Roughly crush the peppercorns in a mortar and pestle and transfer to a plate.

Press the steaks , one at a time, firmly onto the crushed peppercorns on both sides.

Place the olive oil into a heavy-based frying pan over medium heat.

When hot, add the stakes and cook 4 minutes each side.

Switch off heat and let steak rest for  2 minutes on the pan.

Adjust cooking times for your taste.

Notes

This pepper stake dish is perfect with sauteed or boiled potatoes and boiled green

beans. It also will be really great with mushrooms – pan-roasted with garlic and herbs.
